What's Unique

One of the most influential distilleries in American whiskey that most consumers have never heard of. George Ross founded Rossville Distillery on the banks of Tanner's Creek in 1847; the Squibb Distillery was founded nearby in 1869. The modern facility was acquired by MGP Ingredients in 2011 and rebranded as Ross & Squibb in 2021. It has supplied bulk aged rye and bourbon to hundreds of brands — including many that market themselves without disclosing their production source. Produces approximately 75% of the commercial rye whiskey in the US. Also produces its own George Remus bourbon brand.
