Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished in Port Barrels

The flagship expression of Angel's Envy, created by the late Lincoln Henderson. A Kentucky straight bourbon aged 4-6 years in new American oak, then finished for up to 6 months in hand-selected ruby port wine barrels from Portugal. The port barrel finishing was revolutionary when first released in 2010 and launched a broader industry trend of wine cask finishing. The result is a bourbon with notes of vanilla, ripe fruit, maple syrup, and a distinctively smooth, almost dessert-like quality. Named 'Best Spirit in the World' at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2013.
