What's Unique

Founded in 2004 by Christian Krogstad and Thomas Mooney as one of approximately 30 craft distilleries in the entire US at the time. A pioneer of American single malt, producing 100% two-row malted barley whiskey using a brewing process adapted from American Pale Ale craft beer — fermenting with ale yeast for complex esters before double pot distilling. Matured in new, heavily toasted and lightly charred American oak. Diageo invested through its Distill Ventures incubator in 2018. Filed for bankruptcy in April 2025.
