Portland, Oregon-based American single malt pioneer founded in 2004 by Christian Krogstad and Thomas Mooney as one of only ~30 craft distilleries in the US at the time. Diageo invested through its Distill Ventures incubator in 2018, with founders retaining majority ownership and operational control. Note: Westward filed for bankruptcy in April 2025.
