Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery

Founded in 2011 with a mission to bring whiskey distilling back to Chattanooga, the company was instrumental in changing Tennessee law to allow distilleries in Hamilton County for the first time since Prohibition. The Experimental Distillery on Market Street opened in March 2015 as a hub of innovation, producing the prolific Experimental Single Batch Series -- hundreds of unique small-batch expressions testing different grain bills, yeasts, and barrel treatments. Known for pioneering 'Tennessee High Malt' whiskey, which uses a higher percentage of malted barley than traditional bourbon. Also operates a larger production facility at 1000 Riverfront Parkway.
