What Makes This Different
NYC's first whiskey since Prohibition, using a mashbill that omits the typical flavoring grain (rye or wheat) in favor of an 80/20 corn/malted barley recipe more similar to a high-malt Scotch-influenced style. Sources 80% New York State certified organic corn from Lakeview Organic Farm in the Finger Lakes region, and 20% Golden Promise malted barley from Thomas Fawcett Maltsters in England. Double pot distilled — more traditional for Scotch single malt than American bourbon. Aged in new charred oak, but the smaller barrel sizes and NY climate produce different extraction rates than Kentucky.
