What's Unique

Located in Nashville's Marathon Village, Nelson's Green Brier Distillery was revived in 2014 by brothers Andy and Charlie Nelson, descendants of Charles Nelson whose original Green Brier Distillery operated from 1860 until Tennessee's statewide Prohibition in 1909. At its peak in the 1880s, the original distillery was one of the largest in the country, selling over 380,000 gallons annually. The Nelson brothers began bottling sourced whiskey from MGP under the Belle Meade Bourbon label in 2013 while building their own production capacity. The distillery now produces its own Nelson's Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey (using the Lincoln County Process) and continues the Belle Meade Bourbon line. Open seven days a week for tours, tastings, and events.
