What's Unique

Located on a 350-acre campus called Dant Crossing in Gethsemane, Nelson County, about 13 miles south of Bardstown. The distillery honors the legacy of J.W. Dant, who began making whiskey in 1836 using a copper still inside a hollowed-out poplar log. Fifth-generation descendants Wally, Lynne, and Charles Dant founded the modern distillery. The Dant Crossing campus is an ambitious destination that includes the distillery, a farm-to-table restaurant, a fully functional train depot, outdoor amphitheater, 12-acre lake, wooded walking trails, and unique lodging options. The distillery is a member of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.
