Log Still Distillery (independent)

Independent, family-owned distillery founded by J.W. 'Wally' Dant, a fifth-generation descendant of J.W. Dant, who started making whiskey in 1836 using a copper still housed inside a hollowed-out poplar log (giving the distillery its name). Located on a 350-acre campus called Dant Crossing in Gethsemane, Nelson County, Kentucky, approximately 13 miles south of Bardstown. The destination campus includes wooded walking trails, a train depot, outdoor amphitheater, farm-to-table restaurant, a 12-acre lake, and unique lodging options.
