What's Unique

The first legal distillery in Loudoun County, Virginia since Prohibition, founded in 2009 by Scott and Rebecca Harris. Certified organic and kosher. The sole focus is Virginia rye — spelled 'whisky' without the 'e' in homage to Virginia's pre-Prohibition rye traditions. Uses 100% organic Virginia rye grain and copper pot still distillation with a nine-hour distillation run to maximize grain character. Aging in new charred Minnesota white oak and Virginia white oak barrels. Virginia was the historical cradle of American whiskey, and Catoctin Creek explicitly positions itself in that heritage.
