WhistlePig Whiskey (Moet Hennessy minority stake)
Vermont-based rye whiskey producer founded in 2007 when entrepreneur Raj Bhakta purchased a 500-acre former dairy farm in Shoreham, Vermont. The brand launched in 2010 with its 10-year aged rye (initially sourced from MGP in Indiana and Alberta Distillers in Canada) and rapidly became one of the most acclaimed American rye whiskey producers. Moet Hennessy (LVMH) acquired a minority stake in December 2020 to support international distribution. The farm grows approximately 300 acres of rye grain on-site, with the goal of producing increasingly estate-grown whiskey.
