Prichard's Distillery (independent)

Independent craft distillery founded by Phil Prichard in 1997, becoming the first legal distillery in Tennessee in nearly 50 years. The Prichard family distilling tradition traces back to 1822, when Benjamin Prichard of Davidson County, Tennessee left his still and distilling knowledge to his son Enoch. Notably, Prichard's holds a legal exemption from the Lincoln County Process (charcoal filtering) requirement, meaning it can legally label its product as Tennessee Whiskey without charcoal mellowing.
