Stranahan's Original Colorado Single Malt Whiskey

An American single malt made from a proprietary blend of four Colorado-grown malted barleys, including light roasted and dark roasted malts — a technique borrowed from craft brewing rather than Scotch distilling tradition. Every batch is a marriage of barrels aged 4, 5, 6, and 7 years to achieve consistency. Non-chill filtered. Uses Rocky Mountain snowmelt water. The founding pair met fighting a fire at George Stranahan's barn in 2004 — the first Colorado whiskey producer post-Prohibition. Aged in new char #3 American oak barrels, departing from the used-barrel convention of most single malts worldwide.
