High West Distillery

The first legally licensed distillery in Utah since the end of Prohibition, founded in 2006 by David Perkins, a former biochemist who was inspired by the parallels between fermentation science and his research background. The production distillery is located in Wanship, Utah, while the original saloon and tasting room remain at 703 Park Avenue in Old Town Park City. High West pioneered the art of blending sourced American whiskeys from different regions and styles, creating innovative expressions like Campfire (the only blend of Scotch, bourbon, and rye) and A Midwinter Night's Dram. Constellation Brands acquired the company in 2016 for $160 million.
