What's Unique

The Spanish Mission-style distillery building (built 1910) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Old Prentice Distillery. Under Seagram's ownership (1943–2002), Four Roses bourbon was sold only in Japan and Europe; Kirin restored its US premium distribution in 2002. The only major Kentucky distillery using two mashbills combined with five proprietary yeast strains to produce 10 unique bourbon recipes (labeled with a four-letter code like OBSV, OESK, etc.), which are then blended or released as single-barrel expressions.
