Corsair Distillery

Nashville's first craft distillery since Prohibition (the Nashville location opened in 2010, following the original Bowling Green, KY founding in 2008). Located in the Marathon Village neighborhood near Nelson's Green Brier. Co-founded by Darek Bell, a self-described 'mad scientist of whiskey' who has authored books on craft distilling. Corsair is known for pushing boundaries with unconventional grain bills -- producing whiskeys from buckwheat, quinoa, oats, and triticale, as well as heavily smoked malts. Over 450 competition medals. Their Triple Smoke American Malt Whiskey (smoked with cherry, beech, and peat) is a signature expression.
