What Makes This Different
Maker's Mark finished with seared French oak staves inserted into the barrel for the final maturation period. The '46' refers to the 46th recipe iteration by Bill Samuels Jr. and Brad Boswell during development. The French oak staves add baking spice, vanilla, and caramel notes beyond what the wheated mashbill alone produces. Bottled at 94 proof, higher than the original.
