Balcones Texas Single Malt Whisky

Made from 100% Scottish Golden Promise malted barley, aged in new, customized American oak barrels in a hot Texas climate that accelerates extraction. Each batch is blended and re-barreled through multiple barrel sizes and wood profiles (toasted American oak, French oak, European oak) before bottling. The result defies easy classification — it lacks the smoke of Scotch and the corn sweetness of bourbon while having more wood influence than most single malts. One of the leading American single malts predating the formal COLA (Certificate of Label Approval) category.
